What started February of 2020 as a hobby for Tommy Brandon and his son, quickly exploded into what is now know as The School of Sim Racing.

In less than a year, Tommy (and some leading members of SSR) created The National Auto Racing Club (NARC), which is one of the top eSports sim racing leagues online today, they built one of the fastest growing and most respected sim racing communities around, they raised thousands of dollars for charity with their special events and they have helped thousands of sim racers improve their skills, experience, and overall enjoyment in sim racing.

Now, Tommy and the SSR Leadership Team, plan to continue revolutionizing the sport of sim racing, elevating it to one of the top eSports in the world.

I purchased my sim one and a half years ago. I consider myself experienced on setting up Late Models, from time to time my son raced our car in the NASCAR Southwest Touring Series. We also spent a year running USAC pavement.

I learned my experience didn't hold a candle to the front runners in the B open class. I'd spend 98% of my hours attempting to build a setup that could compete. I always found myself qualifying in the top third but after 20 laps I couldn't hold on. I tried purchasing setups from other shops. They would be way different setups and they were never competitive. I saw Tommy on a YouTube video and really liked what I heard. After 3 weeks I got his NASCAR pack and put it on my Xfinity open car. I practiced 30 minutes and found myself one tenth off the leaders qual times. I raced it and the car was the easiest car I've ever raced. I ran it and finished in the top five.

Mind you, my 1800 iRating finished in the middle of the 3000 to 5000 iRating drivers. I will do everything I can to get the word out about Tommy Brandon and SSR. He's the real deal!

I am new to iRacing and joined specifically to race dirt oval. I found the SSR videos on YouTube and they helped me get started on setups and racing lines. Tommy’s method of explaining why adjustments are being made, and not just throwing setups at me, makes it much easier to follow and tailor them to my driving ability and style. I feel like I can make good adjustments on my own and know what the result of the changes will be. I recommend SSR to anyone just starting out or looking for a fresh perspective on running these dirt oval cars.
